Lots of aftershocks are to be expected following a quake of any serious (5.5+) magnitude. In the case of a very severe quake, the aftershocks may be large enough to cause damage themselves. The most recent one I find for that area is a 4.7, which is big enough to get your attention, if you happen to be in the neighborhood (50-mile/80-km radius) but it's not going to be causing any significant damage nor is it likely to create a tsunami anyone need be concerned about -- there have already been dozens of aftershocks of similar or greater magnitude over the last few days.The Ring of Fire is getting particularly fiery of late. Another rumble near the Samoas/Tonga area overnight. I hope it doesn't lead to more casualties...
