Earthbound or Spacebound Scifi?

I love a good space opera, but if we're talking actual hard science fiction, then Earthbound. Actually, I think realistic space opera is practically an oxymoron.

I just like well done, well written science fiction. More of that, whereever it's based.

I prefer science fiction that is set on Earth rather than in space or on other planets. This is especially true when it comes to literature but less so when it come to TV shows or films.

Do you have a preference for one or the other?

As for me - I'm the complete opposite, I LOVE 'space-based' science fiction above all other types.

Either, or, all it has got to do, is be a great story that's worth the time of watching.

Spacebound or otherbound Scifi. I think it takes more literary talent to write about something unfamiliar to our senses and yet make it seem so real especially without the visuals of TV and film.
