It would have been hilarious to see the reaction online to the 24th century Akira in Enterprise. It would have been Akiraprise bitching + NuEnterprise whining x ten billion.

The amount of suffering and angst it would have caused among the technophiles would have been awesome.

Part of me wishes they'd done it.
 
I dunno. I get the feeling the fans would have found out who was responsible and their house would have burned down with their new puppy inside.

And that would be bad.
