E3 2013 Discussion

Anyone watching EA show? some twat had open mic on for last 10 minutes what a bunch of amateurs  on a plus side...

STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT is back and on the frostbite engine :techman:

It's been so-so, the Zombies Vs. Plants one wasn't too bad, the new Need for Speed looks alright, just waiting to see what else is coming up.

And any PS4 footage really.

A Battlefront game made by DICE was a no brainer once EA purchased the rights to Star Wars, really glad to see it happening. Pity it was just a teaser though.

Didn't watch the entire EA presentation, but I'm assuming not a word about Nintendo, eh?

I wonder if EA will be saying the same things about the XBone that they are about the Wii U when the XBone fails to take off?

/\ Yeah, I got that bookmarked at work for tomorrow. But the part of the EA presentation I did see, they kept saying "next-gen consoles: XBox and Playstation". It kinda seemed like they were rubbing Nintendo's face in it.

Everyone's mileage varies, but I found the EA conference kinda weak, there just weren't many games there that interested me. Ubisoft's conference was better, but I'm disappointed that they showed no gameplay from Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4. The AC4 reveal was particularly stupid, they showed a CG trailer with some fancy music, a guy came out and talked for a minute, then they showed an in-engine trailer with some fancy music... but no actual gameplay. :wtf:

I'm noticing a trend at E3 this year: plenty of MMOs without ever calling them MMOs. Sunset Overdrive, The Crew, The Division... why can't they make singleplayer open world games instead of trying to network everything together? :sigh:

Sony's press conference should start any minute now. For some reason, Spike TV chose to air a second showing of Dodgeball: the Underdog story instead of covering it like they did Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft, but I'll try not to read too much into that.

I'm watching the live stream on IGN.com as well as the live stream on my PS3.

Wow, this is really boring. The MS conference was pretty much perfect, but this makes the Motion Picture look fast paced. Stop talking so much about nothing (aka. TV) and just show some damn games!

Yeah, after the XBO "TV TV TV" debalce, you'd think Sony would have known better than to devote 10 minutes to talking about TV.

That was an impressive showing of indie developers. I knew that Sony was pushing Indie this generation, but I had no idea they were this committed. Nicely done, Sony.
