Oh, agreed that's definitely part of the issue, but exchange rate alone can't be responsible for variances like (to use one example) Sand and Stars, where it's $0.99 in the US, and $29.99 in Canada.

We have always paid more than the US for most products, even after exchange is taken into account. We were still paying more for items back when our dollar was worth 10 cents more than theirs. It was something the media liked to go on and on about back at the time. :)

I did find a couple things that might be considered "Canadian" deals, while searching to see if we got any of the deals listed above. (Spoiler alert: no.)

The Art of Star Trek is $9.99, which seems fairly good for a large art book (although I have no idea how well it would show on a digital device)

Both volumes of The Fifty-Year Mission are $15.99. It's no $1.99, but it's still about half of the online discounted hardcover price. I've never read either of these, and therefore cannot comment on how good or bad they may be.

So they are sold by S&S in all of these countries? I was wondering if maybe the different prices were because they were sold by other companies, but I guess that's not the case.

Also, it only seems to be Amazon.com (and other US sites) that have these prices, Amazon.co.uk, same as the .ca site doesn't have these reduced prices. - There isn't even a .ie site which creates all sorts of issues when ordering things from Amazon as one needs to go through the .co.uk site which is geo-locked for certain products.

The prices I posted all came from Google Play, and I also checked Barnes & Noble, and they have the prices to. They appear to be on all of the e-book retailers.

No might about it, clearly you did misunderstand (which is fine) as I did say "and other US sites" - I'm not going to requote myself again.
 
Sales have been crazy this year. I've built a massive backlog, and it keeps getting bigger. Works for me though, as it gives me plenty to read once the sales slow down (if they do, if they don't, well, guess I'll have a lifetime of books to read!)
 
For once it looks like you guys are actually getting a sale we aren't in the US. I checked Amazon and Google and it's full price on both sites.
 
I noticed that changing the date in the bar just goes to an error page now. Either the people doing the sales got wise to us changing the title bar, or the big sales are over after January.
 
Just a quick follow-up to my post last week. As expected, all 5 novels in The Fall series are 99 cents now. I only checked Amazon U.S., but presume the other book sites followed suit.

There are more sales on Amazon U.S., but unless it's requested, I won't post another list on here...
