Just got Starfleet Command 2: Orion Pirates in the mail today. I'd never played any of the SFC games and figured this would be a nice way to get the mechanics down and be ready to play 4.

Also ordered the Star Trek classics pack I found on Amazon.

^SFC:OP is a great game. I think the thing I enjoy about it is the fact that it is so much more difficult than SFC III. In III, you reach a certain level of ship and you are unstoppable against the AI. In OP, not only is every mission a risk, but you aren't limited to just three enemies... there is a good chance that you will go up against a large fleet with a lot of big ships. Have fun!

I should also add, SFC4 should add elements from "TOS Remastered" and "Enterprise" such as an aft photon refit to go along with the aft photons used on the Defiant in "In A Mirror Darkly" or an NX Class YCL to match with canon Trek as SFC2 and Orion Pirates made the CAI, NCM, BCE, E3Y, and D7T were added from the movies.
