DVD copying troubles

I have been making copies of all my BBC DVDs for my brother. He gives me the DL DVDs and I copy the shows for him. For some reason he can't afford these reasonably priced sets.
I did Doctor Who series' 1-3 previously, no problems. Over the past few months I purchased S4 plus Sarah Jane Adventures S1, and Torchwood S2 (already had S1).
Copied them all, but ended up with 2 that will not play. These are DW S4D1 and SJA S1D4. The original DVDs play OK, both in the DVD player and on the computer (Power DVD 5), but once they get put into the DVD player, they never stop loading. I have done each one twice with no luck.

Anyone else ever try copying these?

I'm going to post this in Doctor Who as well.

Well...since copying commercial disks like that is technically illegal, I bet the staff here will take a dim view of this discussion.

I don't know what price Doctor Who boxsets are in the US, but they're certainly not reasonably priced in the UK.

About £46.99 ($70) for I think 4 discs is usually the going rate, and they're no lower anywhere, so the BBC clearly fixes the price.

They closed the same thread in the DW forum, so I don't know how long this one will last.

I use Magic DVD copier, I updated to the latest version (4.9.1) a while back. Again, it has worked for all the other copies, just these 2 are problematic. I did 1 more of each last night, no difference. Very strange.

Admiral Bear, I italicized the word "reasonably", I should've added a  or something.;) The list price was $100 and the preorder price was $70US. So definitely very un-reasonable.

This thread was closed in the Doctor Who forum, and you were asked not to open one here. Copying BC dvds is illegal, and this site dos not allow discussion.

Thread closed.
