Anyone playing the beta right now? I know that if you are we actually can't talk about it outside of the beta forums, but anyone planning on forming a corp in this game or interested in forming one together?

Several ways to get in.

Go to the website and sign up. Beta keys are given out in waves so who knows when you would get one.

Be an EVE Online subscriber. CCP is encourage cross play between the two and the upcoming update for the beta is suppose to integrate and test the two games playing together.

Be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. You can get the game in the PS Plus section on the PS Store if you pay $50 a year for PS Plus.

Buy the Mercenary Pack. For $19.99 you can buy your way into the beta. For the $20 you get 4000 Aurom (the in game microtransaction currency), and a bunch of in game items (both expendable and permanent). Its sorta a deal with all those items, but currently if you are in the beta you can buy 5000 Aurom for $20. (Although if you are a PS Plus member, the Mercenary Pack is currently half off, which is a great deal). Also if you are concerned about spending money in the beta, they periodically reset all stats, refunding all Aurom back into your wallet. A final reset will happen when the game leaves beta. So if you end up buying $50 in Aurom then when the game releases you will have it all back ready to spend again.

I enjoy the game so far, and like EVE Online, you gain Skill Points when off line (although you get more SP by playing the game). And since its a beta, its only playable on weekends.
