Yeah...about that...Manticore said:Still, this [DDO going free] would be enough to lure me back to it if I didn't already have WoW and LOTRO to play around with.

I've been playing it with one of my best friends (and, once he finally gets Stormreach downloaded, my other best friend), and it's pretty good. Sure, it's frustrating when I pick up a quest that sounds pretty cool, and then I find out that I have to pay for it, but it's still as fun as it ever has been, and significantly better than at launch.
Has anyone else been playing the game at all? And on Khyber? We could use a low level Cleric for our group. We've got a level 3 rogue, level 4 fighter/meatshield, and soon an around-that-level barbarian, but no healers so far. >.< Ah well. And trust me, it's much better with a regular group of people that you like hanging out with, just like D&D itself.

One frustration that I have is that you have to buy an item/get lucky in a drop to reach level 5, but since that's dramatically more work than level 5 in most MMOs, it's not that big a deal. If I don't get the rare drop while I'm going through level 4, I'll buy it; it'll be around $2 at most, not even that. And I love the combat system and character customization that this game offers; it's the most in-depth that I've seen in an MMO so far.
So, thoughts and idears?
