Another very underrated scifi action film is Stallone's Demolition Man. I

But how do you use the shells?

I always thought they somehow generated a sonic field that cleaned you out automatically (like a sonic shower does in Trek). I DEFINITELY do not buy Stallone's explanation...

Based on the thread title, I thought we were going to mention movies that were dumb, but still was a great movie and the first one I thought of was Dumb and Dumber. I think the thread title was a bit misleading, or maybe I just mis-read something.

The Robocop (which owes a lot to 2000 AD as well) style dark satire future thing was more what I was thinking that the exact nature of the character he plays.
