@Christopher I thought you might find this interesting, Star Trek Online in game actually adopted Gariff as Lucsly's first name and made Adam his middle name instead.

He doesn't show up as a character in game, just as digital crewmember you can send out on missions.

They dropped Dulmur's first name from Needs of the Many and gave him the full name from Watching the Clock.

Might be an error on the part of whoever made the characters may not have known about Needs of the Many already giving them unique names in the STO Universe.

It's not an error for the original work itself to disregard a conjecture made in a tie-in. The Needs of the Many is probably no more binding on STO's continuity than my books are on Trek screen continuity. STO's makers have every right to decide for themselves whether or not to use an idea from a tie-in.

The novel isn't even a very good tie-in into the game anyway. I'm not surprised that the producers are retconning things from the novel.

I have broken the tie by voting outstanding. Very well done! I rather enjoyed this one. Then again, I've enjoyed ALL the DTI books.
