DTI comic series

I don't know about that. DTI isn't a particularly visual premise -- it's mostly a bunch of folks in drab gray suits conducting interviews and investigations.

Maybe they could get their version Macos who would put down violent time travelers.

I'd read a DTI comic mini-series. I could see a four or five issue mini working great with this premise. I don't know if an ongoing would be viable, but a mini-series would be awesome. It maybe about an organization who wears grey suits who investigate, but they investigate time travel problems. This would be like a Star Trek version of Exiles which was a pretty hugely successful and popular comic for Marvel.

yeah, how about no?

Because?

I like your idea, but for a miniseries my idea of Maco- like DTI commandos chansing bad guys trough different eras waould work better. Hazard squad could do it, they had been very much neglected anyway.

MACOs were military. The DTI is a department of the civilian government. And handling military matters is what Starfleet is for.

Sure, if IDW were willing to pay me, I'm sure I could come up with something that could sustain a miniseries.

And just by mentioning it, you make it impossible for me or any other author who reads this forum to use that idea.

Not that I would anyway, though, since part of my purpose in doing DTI in the first place was to provide a civilian-centric alternative to the overwhelming military focus that Trek already has.

Maybe Section 31 could have a DTI type division.

Seriously guys, if you want to see these things actually happen, stop mentioning them here!

Just saying "I want a DTI comic/USS Kelvin novel/novel about the supernova from STXI/etc" is fine, as long as we keep away from specific stuff, like "I want Kirk to marry T'Pol!"

Now you've gone and shattered the dreams of the T'Pol/Kirk shippers!

well how about this since they are doing a star trek tng/Dr.who crossover how about a DTI/Torchwood crossover? featureing season 2 cast of course.

Given that Titan hasn't had a comic book series and that's what, some ten novels now and been going since 2005, I hardly think DTI has a chance in hell of being made into a comic book after one not so brilliant novel.
