DSC characters in TOS uniforms - which colors would they wear?

usual consider the color to be "sand."
I'm glad they changed up the color scheme after the TOS Pilots. It would've been impossible to tell the difference between gold and tan on Black & White TVs. It's bad enough with Color.
I always assumed the TOS uniforms all being the same shade of gray in black and white was intentional to help promote color TVs, so it would be obvious what you were missing.
Which is why switching to Red instead of Tan was the right move. If I was living in the '60s, I'd be disappointed if I found out there wasn't too much difference between gold and tan. I'm sure the intention was good. In the producers and directors minds, there would be a difference between green and tan. But when it comes out as gold and tan, most people aren't going to pick up on the difference. I didn't notice it was two different colors until two decades ago when someone else pointed it out.
Is that not a scientist?
We had one, between seasons 1 and 2 there were pics of the Disco crew wearing the Discoprise unis floating about here and Facebook...Ok, now we need desperately a wizard of the Photoshop...
Yep, all through the seventies I thought it was just gold and blue - and I had cable TV plus the WNMHGB photonovel...
It wasn't that one. It was a posed shot, 'shopped from a publicity shot of the cast posing with their medals from the finale.This is the main one I've seen floating around....

I never noticed that Tilly, Airiam and Owo were wearing the skirt version of the uniform in that shot before.
It occurs to me we haven't see nall of these in action, yet. Number One didn't have the miniskirt, so that's not hers. We haven't seen a blue miniskirt yet, either. Although they did promise us a guy in a skirt by the end of the season, so maybe it's SpockHoping to see these in use come season 3. My eyes are done with the blue overload and would enjoy the splash of color!
