OK, so the last DS9 book I read was Fearful Symmetry (ok, I read Zero Sum Game, but I mean in the DS9 MU saga). I heard one or more of the short novels in the Mirror Universe books tie-in to the overall DS9 MU saga. What are the stories and can someone give a recommended reading order? For example, do I need to read them before reading the wrap-up in The Soul Key? Thanks.

^ You should read Saturn's Children in the Obsidian Alliances anthology.

You don't have to read the other Mirror Universe novels to understand what happens in "The Soul Key". It's another Star Trek book where anything you need to know is pretty much explained as you go. However, if you wanted to read / watch the other Mirror Universe entries they'd go something like this:

    2063:
01 Enterprise Episode: In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I (Teaser)

    2155:
02 Enterprise Episode: In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I
03 Enterprise Episode: In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II
04 Glass Empires: Age of the Empress

    2156:
    05 Shards and Shadows: Nobunaga

    2248:
06 Shards and Shadows: Ill Winds

    2264:
07 Shards and Shadows: The Greater Good

    2267:
    08 TOS Episode: Mirror, Mirror
09 The Sorrows of Empire [Pages 1-30]

    2268:
10 The Sorrows of Empire [Pages 31-58]
11 TOS Episode: The Tholian Web

12 The Sorrows of Empire [Pages 59-162]

    15 Shards and Shadows: Three

    2344:
16 Shards and Shadows: The Traitor

The historical note in the RLL preview on the S&S site says the book begins in January 2377, and ends in 2381.

Under 2333, shouldn't that be Stargazer: Three? And I don't think it was ever entirely clear whether that was actually the Mirror Universe or just something very similar. My impression is that it was deliberately left ambiguous.

Thanks for the responses. While I understand you don't need to read every book before The Soul Key to understand it, as a DS9 relaunch fan, I want to get the fuller story. But I was only asking relating to the DS9 MU saga, not the Mirror Universe in general (I should have made that clearer).

Sounds like Saturn's Children will be it. Thanks all!

Turnaround is equally ambiguous - perhaps more so, since the enemy Alliance is shown using Federation ships instead of Klingon/Cardassian ones. If it's included, I don't see a reason to omit Three.

^But it's listed as Shards and Shadows: Three instead of Stargazer: Three, which is my main point.
