Game DS9 Episode Pitch Game

Hunger Pangs

Morn suffers from a strange illness that has him continuously devouring any source of nutrition he can get his hands on, threatening to empty the entire station of food, & overwork the replicators

Quark surprisingly saves the day with some shrewd negotiating that supplies enough food until Julian can intervene

Next Episode: The Invitational

"The Invitational" - Jadzia is invited to be a participant in a neepaket tournament (a Trill sport similar to golf), a sport one of the previous Dax hosts was quite good at. Unbeknownst to her, the whole tournament is a trap set to identify and catch an unknown Trill who killed the sister of a tournament judge ten years ago. Meanwhile, Miles doesn't like the new couple Keiko invited to supper, finding them annoying, and complains to Julian, but she overhears the discussion.

Next episode: "Early Bird"

( ^ Going offtopic here for a moment, but I've come to understand that 'muscle memory' is an important part of playing a sport well. Would that transfer between trill host(bodie)s, or only conscious memories? These things seem more 'body bound' to me, even though of course they're still stored in the brain.)

Perhaps she dabbled in the same sport pre-joining, and alone wasn't as good, but with the host, she gained mental skill memories that enabled her to improve her game (but she didn't go pro).

Early Bird

When Doctor Bashir has a bout of insomnia he decides to get some research done in sickbay. However, after repeatedly hearing something in the halls, he finds nothing.
When Garek shows up and says he also heard noises, the two decide to investigate.
Kira and Dax must try to communicate with a docking ship when the universal translator malfunctions.

Next episode : More Tribble-ations
The IKS Rotarran arrives at DS9. General Martok arrives to inform Worf of the planet Omicron Lamda III and rumors that there are hoards of wild Tribbles there for the hunting. Martok, ready for adventure with a gleam in his eye, lobbies Worf to join him in the next Great Tribble Hunt, enticing him with the glory of the hunt, Worf's name going down in history, the subject of songs forevermore. Worf is initially reluctant to go, but Jadzia learns of Martok's plan and is eager to join.

The Rotarran arrives to Omicron Lamda III but has little success in actually finding any Tribbles. Unbeknownst to anyone until later, Tribbles have evolved almost human-level intelligence, teeth, and much greater mobility (they can roll around and leap with surprising speed), allowing them to mostly avoid the intrepid hunters. More than that, the Tribbles can now reproduce at will increasing their numbers at vastly greater rate than ever before!

Furthermore, Tribbles are able to sneak on board the Rotarran in numbers and remain in hiding until they attack! Tribble vs. Klingon for control of the Rotarran! The battle rages, and the Klingons are only just able to regain control of the ship by the time they arrive back at DS9. Worf and Jadzia are beamed back to the station, bloodied, bruised, with torn clothing, but alive, if barely. In a final gesture of revenge, the Rotarran beams an entire shipful's worth of Tribbles onto DS9 before blasting off at maximum warp, Martok's last message being "Koloth says hi!"

Later, Odo is known to endlessly mock Worf for losing to the Tribbles in their Great Klingon Hunt.

Sound and Fury, part one and two

A Bajoran smuggler is arrested by Odo, who asks for Kira to restore his family's glory. Kira recognizes the name as one of the old aristocratic families who had close ties with Kira's ancestors who were artists, but fell to illegitimacy and collaboration during the occupation and with the Maquis. He claims to know of a weapons stash that might fall into Dominion hands if they don't act quickly. The story includes flashbacks of how Kira and the smuggler's families knew each other and how their families drifted apart through the generations and how they came across the weapon stash.

"East of Risa"

East of Risa

Around 15 years in the future, a slightly aged and tired Kira takes a sabbatical and decides to do some traveling. She also visits Risa, and while the hedonistic vibe of the place doesn't entirely agree with her, she gradually builds a connection with a young Cardassian female working there in 'the business'. In time, she tells Kira in confidence she is one of Gul Dukat's daughters who never found her way in life after she learned as a teen what her father did. She and Kira reminisce about their experiences, one as a daughter of an infamous war criminal, carrying a burden of shame she never had any personal guilt in, the other tired and disillusioned of all those people now venerating her as 'the Emissary's Assistant', but not actually being receptive about the lessons she learned from being close to Sisko, during the Occupation and the Dominion War and that she would like to share with them.

Next episode: Sound and Fury

Although I would find Tribbles hardly frightening, I could see this being a very amusing episode

"Rapprochement" - At Richard's request, Julian counsels the daughter of a fellow prisoner in his father's jail, who also sought genetic enhancement for her twin brother, which ended in the boy's death. Her father is about to be released following his sentence, and she is still angry at him. Meanwhile, DS9 hosts a delegation of AnQui'ab, a species whose first contact with the Bajorans did not go well 100 years ago, with a most unlikely mediator; Garak.

Next episode: "Chalk Drawings"

I never liked DS9s mirror universe episodes, but I think it would have been interesting if Sisko had to interact with a mirror universe version of Locutus. Showing not only a mirror picard, but maybe an interesting twist on the borg as a species that is aimed at fighting for individuality.

@Maj. Dick Hmmm...can you posit such an episode based on my title prompt above?

(Please read the rules at the beginning of the thread if you haven't already, then feel free to jump right in with an episode synopsis based on the last "next episode" title.)

Chalk Drawings

A charismatic artist/magician, who uses colored smoke effects to decorate the station with colorful artistry, has everyone impressed with his temporary decorations, except Quark, who realizes he's a con artist casing the promenade for a robbery.

Next Episode: All My Exes Lived on Praxis

"All My Exes Lived on Praxis" - A shipment of mining ore is flagged for inspection when it arrives on DS9. Its composition is identical with records from the mining projects on Praxis...which should be impossible, as all the major fragments of the moon were accounted for after its destruction, and forbidden from being traded due to contamination. Worf and Jadzia go undercover to trace the source of the contraband and are forced to rely on the assistance of a female Klingon smuggler, who pretends to be Worf's ex (who parted with him on good terms) to vouch for him, which causes Jadzia, playing Worf's cover ID's sister, dismay. Meanwhile, back at the station, Odo guards the contraband until it can be picked up and taken to a containment facility, trying to protect it from curious lookie-loos, Quark, and even Bashir, who is interested in studying the medical properties of the ore.

Next episode: "Medium Rare"

Medium Rare

Quark buys a gemstone from the Gamma quadrant that turns out to be worth much more than even he desires. However, Odo thinks it is probably stolen.
Julian gets an unexpected visitor - his medical class valedictorian.

“Out of Time" - Julian is trying to save Jake Sisko's life when a cave-in is imminent. Kira is defusing a highly sensitive bomb that is strapped to Jadzia. Miles and Odo have to reach an imperiled Keiko O'Brien who is about to fall off a ledge after trying to gather a botanical sample. All are running out of time. Worf can only use a mysterious timepiece to aid one of these rescues...unless he and Sisko can locate the individual who has the ability to slow and speed up time.

Sounds like something from Harry Potter

“From Your Lips to the Prophets Ears”

An old friend of Kira’s has a child that is sick and dying. When she is brought to Dr Basir the doctor tells her that there is no cure.
Moved by the anguish of the single mother, Sisko takes a runabout into the wormhole to petition the Prophets on her behalf.
The station is having power fluctuations that are causing temporary blackouts. O’Brien and Odo investigate, and find a disturbing cause… a dead Cardassian.

“Obsidian Orders” - Garak receives a long-delayed message ordering him to enact a secret directive that he refuses to discuss with anyone, even Bashir. The message states that no matter when he receives the order, he must act. A special investigator is dispatched to the station upon intercepting but not interpreting the message and oversteps her boundaries on DS9 trying to locate the person who sent the order and prevent it from being carried out. What nobody knows is that Garak may be trying to prevent the directive from being carried out by taking on a role meant for another.
