DS9 book?

Fearful Symmetry, the DS9 book after Warpath, will be out in the summer of 2008. You haven't missed it.

While you're waiting, Sarah Shaw's DS9 story Saturn's Children in Mirror Universe: Obsidian Alliances provides some background for Warpath, and presumably some story points that will be followed-up in Fearful Symmetry.

I didn't read Obsidian Alliance before Warpath and was still able to understand what was going on, but I could tell I was missing something. I don't think I even knew about Obsidian Alliance 'til months after buying Warpath.

^ Not surprising, since Obsidian Alliances came out in March 2007, and Warpath was released a year earlier, in March 2006. In fact, it's highly unlikely you could have known about OA until after the release of Warpath.

More than two years is a loooong wait but compared to other series it is just a long wait.

New Frontier has had it pretty bad, too, although it didn't have a book rescheduled a year later because of a complete rewrite.

No rewrite AFAIK. PAD was simply busy after his original fantasy series ("Sir Apropo of Nothing") took off and became a trilogy of hardcovers.
