This Contest's episode, chosen by Nerys, is Wrongs Darker than Death or Night" from season 6. The DS9 related theme, chosen by arasam, is "It's all in your head" , and the Random Theme, also chosen by arasam, is "Make your icon 100x100" - Avatars no bigger than 100x100.

AVATAR RULES
Anyone is welcome to enter avatars in this contest! The theme must be DS9 related, while the Random Theme can be from just anything. The avatars have to conform to board rules: Up to 140x140 px and up to 70kb.
Avatars will be accepted until November 1 some time in the evening CET.

You know, I just noticed that despite what I'd thought before, Dukat actually WAS made to look younger in this episode. Age is hard to tell with Cardassians, but I definitely see it. The thing is, though, that apparently their lifespan is quite long when compared with humans...


Episode:

When it comes to Dukat...this says it all right here. It's not a woman he sees, but a pretty thing to add to his collection.

(Note: I had to crop this one to get rid of a REALLY creeptastic resemblance to my AU version of Dukat. In the original screencap, it ALMOST looked like he had long hair...! )


Theme:

The past comes back to haunt Odo...


Random Theme:

Here's an avatar I use sometimes over at Ad Astra...meet the "good twin" of Dukat: an alternate version that made much better choices despite living a rougher life than the canon version ever did.

The text and cropping were done by me, and AU Dukat and his stories are mine. The wonderful artwork was done by SLWatson, and she kindly granted me permission to use this art in any manner I wished.

^yeah, as you can see I've abandoned the random theme because unlike every other being in the cosmos, I cannot resize a simple bloody image.

Are you sure it's not because your pics have a different height and width, like the two above? If that is the case, you probably have not turned off the option "constrain proportions" in the Image Size window.

Like this - using your theme pic as an example:

edit: that's if you're using Photoshop.

Tuln, welcome back to the contest!

Thor, are you using photobucket to resize your images or are you using software? Any image qualifies if the biggest part of the image is no more than 100 px, if that helps.

Give me the original and I'll resize it for you in Photoshop. It's easy. Of course, the proportions would be different, so if you don't want to change the proportions of the emblem, the other option is to add some white space on the sides, also easily done in Photoshop.

I was using the resize edit function on photobucket. I can't resize to exactly 100x100 but I've got it to 100x75, like so...

You might want to look into downloading Paint.NET. It's like a simpler--FREE--version of Photoshop, and it's what I use for my avatars.

Go to http://www.getpaint.net and it will give you instructions. You'll need to download both Paint.NET itself and Microsoft's .NET application, and it'll tell you what to do to do that.

Believe me, this will make your life a LOT easier.

A Vorta that I might roleplay as someday, somewhere. Random Jem'hadar in the background, lol.

Episode:

Dukat and Meru kissing...:3 I loved that episode.

Theme:

The Kira that was in Dukat's head in the episode Waltz. Dukat almost looks as though he's facepalming.

And if you want me to resize images for you, Thor_Damar, just ask. I have Photoshop. Though I suggest getting GIMP for your own use. =]
