actually... goldfish have memories that last 7 seconds.

More recent research by the School of Psychology at the University of Plymouth in 2003[citation needed] demonstrated that goldfish have a memory-span of at least three months and can distinguish between different shapes, colours and sounds.

LOL!! I was thinking of cleaning it up (I think I have better pictures etc. now) since the Jem'Hadar hugging is in the episode before... but I have other options still...

No sitting. You need to design traps with an escape route, say a net with one tiny hole... but you need to keep changing where the escape is, and see how much faster they learn to find and escape, and how quickly they adapt to the change in escape area, how they develop a system of finding the escape.

And it's long- you need to keep the fish, and not test them, for months or years, to see if they retain the knowledge.

It'd be cool if we could have attachements here, even if they were just small. I hadn't realized til recently how practical it is!
