This contest's episode, chosen by apenpaap, is "Baddabing Baddabang" from season 7. The DS9 related theme, chosen by Nerys, is "Something or someone in a state of disarray" , and the Random Theme, chosen by Thor, is "The Gods", images of deities (or those claiming to be deities) from either mythology or TV series and movies.

AVATAR RULES
Anyone is welcome to enter avatars in this contest! The theme must be DS9 related, while the Random Theme can be from just anything. The avatars have to conform to board rules: Up to 140x140 px and up to 70kb. Avatars will be accepted until August 31 some time in the evening CET.

okay, so i've got two that are almost exactly the same:

not sure i like the border but it does draw your eye to their faces more--which is exactly what i wanted.

random:

okay, so he's not really a god, nor does he profess to be one, but he is the savior of his world... and he's kinda supernatural anyways :P

maybe i'll change it if i have time.

... i seem to be going through a phase with the white overlay borders :P

Oh, and is that guy from your Episode av the same one that plays Gowron? I just happened to notice his eyes..

^Great minds think alike, DeVario. Let me know if mine is too similar to yours. (I hadn't seen your entry when I made mine.) From what I can tell, it's the same frame, but we did different things with the lighting and cropped it in a different place.

Ah man, great minds do think alike. I'm totally cool with it, but if others feel they are too similar then I'd be more than happy to enter another another of my Theme ideas. This is just the first one I thought of.

Edit: I'm a nice guy, so you can have the Odo trashes his quarters avatar Vulcan Princess. I'd like to enter my other Theme entry. One of the first glimpses we get of Deep Space 9.

(I was SO glad to see Sisko get the hell OVER himself...I mean, taking it out on a photonic lifeform--jeez.)


Theme:

Random Theme:

This is possibly one of the most beautiful icons I have ever seen. This particular type of icon is known as Christos Pantokrator (Christ the Almighty). While I am not Orthodox myself, I find their iconography to be extremely beautiful and inspiring. (And one of my fanfic characters IS in fact Greek Orthodox, because of the respect I have for them.)

I checked him out on IMDb and apparently it is Gowron. Good call, I haven't noticed the resemblance before.

^ It was from Waltz. I cannot quite remember the scene that it's from but I think that it was one of the phantom Weyoun appearances
