^ I don't think it's against the rules. Questioning things in life is important in order to make the right life decisions. That is true for religion as well.

I also think that Star Trek is always about questioning things. That's the spirit of it. Question first, use science, look at things rationally. That is the message: never under estimate HUMAN potential, and what it can do without any help from other sources.

I like how they always take a look at things from a scientific point of view first too.

Star Trek is also very good at exploring the difficult issue of religion. I'm impressed how they delt with i.e the Bajoran religion and Kes' situation in VOY Sacred Ground.
