Dresden Files-style Urban Fantasy?

If you're looking for a male protagonist akin to Harry Dresden then you might want to check out the tales of one who actually crossed paths with him...

Quincey Morris,
Supernatural Investigator.

The "Morris & Chastain Investigations" Series features the eponymous great-grandson of famed Vampire Hunter Quincey Morris AND Elizabeth "Libby" Chastain, a White Witch.

They even visit McAnally's at one point when they stop thru Chicago.

Three books so far:
-Black Magic Woman
-Evil Ways
-Sympathy For The Devil

BTW to all authors or wannabe authors reading this.

The story about the male/female lead grieving the lost of his wife/children/husband in a car accident or whatever is PLAYED OUT big time!!!!!:guffaw:

Does John Constantine count, or does he crossover into horror?

Definitely urban fantasy - and very good stuff too. It's got that hard-boiled edge, but, yes, it crosses over into horror. Still Constantine is one of the most interesting protagonists around. Honestly Harry Dresden wishes he could be that cool!

I haven't picked it up yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about The Grimnoir Chronicles by Larry Correia. I love his Monster Hunter series.

I've read the first story in the first book and enjoyed it, but never got beyond that point. I've been thinking about going back to it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I really enjoyed the movies too, although they are very different from the books.
