In DA2 I think they've said you can remove the helmets if you want, still get the stat boosts but they won't appear on your character.

The Mages robes are pretty dreadful all in all. Particularly the standard Circle ones.

The robes were OK for what they were, it's just that there wasn't much in the way of variety.

Mage is crazy overpowered if you level it up right. Personally, I prefer Warrior. I've never had much fun playing wizards or mages in any RPG.

If you go with Mage, do yourself a favor and avoid the Shapeshifter spells.

I played the game through with a female city elf rogue that focused on dual weapons, and it was a total blast. She'd sneak up behind a monster that was busy slashing away at my tank, and fuck them up. Great fun.

I have the GOTY edition waiting to start, i have to force myself not to open it till i actually complete the backlog of game i have sitting here unfinished.

^^^..I'm way behind now...With Fallout NV and the Gods of war HD collection(Man that champion of god thing is a nightmare), I'm way behind, so by the time DA3 comes out i might get round to the first.

I know the feeling. I have roughly 10 books just waiting to be read, and Red Dead Redemption to play, yet I'm still hooked on DAO/DAA and just got into playing the FPS game MAG (Massive Action Game).

If we want longer days, we'll have to set up residence on Mars. Good luck breathing, though.
