Don't worry, it doesn't make much sense. It all depends on people hearing their future selves say something out of the blue, without even understanding the problem. It's a little gag episode for charity, we're probably not supposed to overthink it.

This skit was great fun. I've watched it several times already.

I think that's what I am enjoying the most of this current crew. There seems to be a great sense of timing and enjoyment in their work together.

It certainly explains why Amy carries on the way she does. Shes meant as a foil for the more laid back Rory and Doctor. The same position Teagan filled way back when.
