Dr Who-Comic Relief March 18th!! (spoilers!)

^ What he said.

Bones, like it or not, y'make the place sad. It used to be one of the nicest and most relaxed places in TrekBBS, and now... not so much. Oh, you aren't the only one, by any means, but it kicks on when you're here..

That's how I see it. Sorry. And that's is absolutely my last comment on it.

I completely and utterly concur with the two of you.

The only thing I don't though is that I am not sorry for my viewpoint of Bones, I stick by what I have said in the past and his attitude over the last 18 months or so has just reinforced my opinion of him.

You could always just ignore the people who annoy you. Just a suggestion. It does work.

Oh I know it works and there are a few people on here I really don't like, but sometimes they do say some interesting and thought prevoking, so I just tend to skim their posts, plus I don't like putting people on "ignore."

To be honest when I've used ignore (only twice) I've found it annoying, because you still get to see things people have posted when its quoted in other people's threads, except its all out of context, so the people you're irgnoring are still out there, only its harder to debate or just plain argue with them :) Hence why I don't ignore anyone any more. These days I just try to bite my tonge a lot more, to engage with posters when they're being reasonable, and manually ignore them when they're not

I've only ever had one person on ignore and they're so annoying nobody quotes them. Win win.

I've had one person on ignore but he had a rather impressive self distruction a while back in TNZ. I've been tempted to put a few people on ignore and I reckon at least a few people either have me on ignore or just skip over what I have to say due to them being..........

Sorry, did you say something? :p

Why am I the news yet again? I came in here to talk about Doctor Who. I think you all like talking about me. That's very sweet.

I have advanced ignore on you Omaha, I get to read everything you say unless you're talking about Colin

Now that the benefits and inner workings of the Ignore function have been explained and praised, the topic was what again? Ahhh... the mini-sodes. ;) It is not Bones or any other single person. Let's take him at his word and discuss Doctor Who.

It is not ... any ... single person.

A*hem*.

It's about me. It's always about me! :guffaw:
You're welcome to it. I gift you that mantle.

So, those Comic Relief eps, eh? These are just my views, and I certainly don't want anyone to take it personally, but they're surely up there with the worst things Doctor Who has ever done. The entire thing was based on Rory looking up Amy's garden, him dropping some nonsense, rubbish happening, the Doctor pulling the silly lever, the end. I mean, what you can do in an 8 minute Tardis bottle episode is limited, but this made The Curse of Fatal Death look sophisticated.

You do understand the underlying principle of Comic Relief?
Yes, but I'm not giving that contemptible smutty rubbish a pass because it was for Comic Relief. And it's not as if anyone gave any extra money because it was on either. But anyway, I'm interested in discussing the quality of it, not what it was for.

I only watched the Doctor Who and Masterchef stuff on the BBC website, I also gave a bit of money to the cause, so I personally think that yes, I gave my money to Doctor Who as that's is pretty much all I watched for it. - It was either that or it was for Dave, and I really can't stand the man and I feel particularly dirty thinking about that.

You didn't give money just for the sake of good causes then?

Sure, I'll happily give to a Cancer hospice that my step father used before he died and myself and other family members have used the services they offer since. I'm also organising a sponsored walk for my Scouts this weekend for the Quake/Tsunami that has recently hit Japan and I'll happily give my small change, aswell as bigger change to collection pots you get in shops.
