Dr. Crusher or Pulaski

Personally, I find Dr. Pulaski to me a more interesting and watchable character than Dr. Crusher.

I know that’s a minority opinion, but I don’t know much of a minority. I’m curious how opinion breaks down here.

I never liked Diana in any role she played including Dr. Pulaski. Beverly is kind of hot though.

But I went with Dr. Crusher, because yeah she's hot. Plus, she's the real character in that spot, possibly ending up with ol' Jean-Luc and all.

I never liked Pulaski because her character ripped off Bones.

Dr. Crusher is an original character while Dr. Pulaski is a copy of Dr. McCoy.

I like Crusher's character much better than Pulaski. I wish they used Crusher more in the show. I feel like Pulaski got better roles even though she was only there for one season.

Dr Crusher isn't hot, she has an old woman's body and a pointy face, do not want. Pulaski also not hot but that's not an issue because no one is saying she is.

Pulaski flawed character but much better than the annoying Crusher and Gates McFadden couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag with a box cutter and they should have used Crusher far far less in the show.

Hmm. We just did this topic a few months ago. Love the votes for Crusher because "she's hot".

Crusher as a character was bland and boring. McFadden as an actress is bland and boring.

Pulaski may be a copy of McCoy but then again McCoy wasn't the only "cranky" character the world has ever known. One could even say that DeForest was playing a copy of a cranky police pathologist when he played McCoy.

I'll take Pulaski over Crusher any day. But then that's because I base my preference on character, not on who may or may not be hot.

I liked Crusher, but over time I've found I like Pulaski more. I wish she had stayed some how, or at least came back and had the two doctors on screen together.

Pulaski was underwritten, I prefer Crusher's material over the course of the series.

Pulaski definitely. More of a character than Crusher ever was.

Neither McFadden or Muldaur, however, could be described as especially good actresses unfortunately.

I must admit... that I'm startled by the huge outpouring of support for Pulaski. I really expected this poll to be imbalanced with Crusher taking 60%, Pulaski taking 30%, and the rest going to no preference.

I'm surprised too, but these polls are of course in no way scientific, and I think this is still a small sample of active members, that could easily be overrepresented by motivated supporters of one favorite.

I never cared for Pulaski's character although after watching season 2 a few times she has grown on me a bit but I definitely prefer Crusher.
