Doris Roberts as Kai Wenn...........

Mr. Scott

Commander
The character Marie on "Everybody Loves Raymond" as Kai Wenn. How would have that been? Marie would of mindfk'd Sisko, Odo and Kira.

If the kai did not get what she wanted, she could of thrown out some passive/agressive. She could of bribed most of her crew with her dynamic cooking. Better than Sisko's. Maybe a storyline with her and Grandpa Sisko. "She's the Kai of Bajor!" Sisko screams. Grandpa "But she makes sandwiches before the game."

Marie and her passive/agressiveness, a leader for Bajor?

I like how he has gone from spelling Winn correctly in the first thread to incorrectly in this one. It really mixes things up.

To answer the question how would replacing Kai Winn for Marie, a character from a completely different and unrelated show, go? Simple answer - terrible.

Yeah, one role is serious, the other comedic, and I don't think the two actresses or characters are interchangeable.

well, no. there aren't many actresses who can play a female villain, and louise fletcher might be unrivalled amongst them. who else can play a woman who is power-obsessed, but able to portray herself, and convincing herself, and the viewer that she is serving a greater good? it's her cold, calculating eyes, i guess. kain winn was "kai wunn" in the first 2 seasons synchronized for the german tv, and then it suddenly changed to kai winn.

First off, spelled "Winn" wrong, as others have pointed out. Secondly, Kai Winn was played by Louise Fletcher, the woman who got a freakin' Oscar for playing the female villian in "One of Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." With all respect to Doris Roberts, I don't think she could hold a candle to Fletcher.
