Don't know why you should hate Ke$ha?

I don't hate her at all.

She puts out her music, which is far from the worst i've heard, and people buy it, good for her.

People complain about some of the things she does, but she's just being herself, she doesnt seem false to me, whereas Ga-Ga to me is an actor playing a role 24/7.

At the end of the day people hate successful people, they are jealous of them and even more so when they seem to be successful for no discernable reason.

To me Ke$ha just happens to be lucky that her average music has struck a chord with the mindless masses.

good luck to her.

I am willing to wager somebody else's firstborn child that when we see a picture of Kesha's boyfriend he is not going to be fat funny guy with beard, but some pretty boy model/actor wanna-be guy.

That's what these stars' handlers arrange for them, it seems.

Famous people do not fall in love with us normals. :(

Heard the song once on TV a few months. It's very bad. I'm just glad my radio station don't play it, but I did hear that Ke$ha was featured in Max Lavergne's A to Z of Bad Music.

Eh, Ke$ha doesn't bother me so much. More to the point, each time I hear "Tik Tok" I dislike it a little less. Oh well.

As for using a dollar sign in place of an 's' in her name, who cares? How many times have Snoop Dog and Puffy changed their names? It's all part of the act, so it's not really worth getting all bent out of shape over.

I will say this -- whoever edited together the "Star Trek" themed video to it sure knows how to cut. :techman:

That Kesha, she's down with the kids. Word. Or something.

She's not aimed at my age group. Thank goodness. And I concur, she is a classic example of what is bad in commercial music. Was she on Idol? Can't decide if she's too edgy, from a conservative record company viewpoint, for that show, or ripped straight out of it.

Okay, I'll stop being snarky now.

^So, basically, don't communicate your opinions on the Internet. Gotcha.

I'll stick to not enjoying her songs about reducing men to a single piece of their anatomy instead. One day we'll have a popular female artist who actually likes men. That'd be refreshing.

I didn't say that, learn to read.

After you learn to read, work on the hyperbole issue.

She was the back up singer for Flo Rida (if you feel like listening to Right Round, she's the female singer in that song).

^I can read just fine.

What qualifications do you need before your opinion becomes worthy? At what point do you no longer have a high opinion of yourself ? Do you have to work for an established newspaper instead of just posting on your own blog?

As for my 'hyperbole' - Kesha is no different to Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Pink and many of her other peers. But I suppose that shows how well people actually listen to their music.

I love that song.

The author is clearly qualified to offer the thoughts he does, in the same way that a nuclear physicist is qualified to teach arithmetic. And that's pretty much what's happening here, which is where the funny comes in.

^So, you need a degree in Music to write about it? That's 99% of music journalists and pretty much everyone else with any influence over the music industry screwed then. ;)

The video you've posted won't play on my iPad. I'm guessing somebody set the no mobile devices restriction. If it's a music video I'm not surprised.
