When Maisie Williams doesn't turn out to be Susan, Romana, The Rani, Jenny etc. etc.

While defending Moffat's not my usual position, he (and everyone else involved) have been pretty clear that she's not someone from the series' past.

Which hasn't stopped people jumping on seven words that only indicate that she's someone the Doctor has met before (in the previous episode!) as proof of something or other.

Hell, at this point, there is an official plot synopsis of an officially licensed novel from BBC Books revealing her identity and making it clear she isn't Susan or Romana or whoever and explaining the Doctor's recognition of her in the previews.

So, no, no one has a right to think she's anything other than a new, original character at this point.

I'm sure Gallifrey Base will still meltdown.

Disturbingly the advance reviews have been describing it as a comedy episode a la 'Robot Of Sherwood'.

Wow. That is completely not what I wanted from a Vikings story.

For me, the sight of Vikings wearing horned helmets has me angered. Vikings never wore horned helmets. This is some 19th century nonsense that has lingered on.

Another piece of nonsense is the reason for Odin's need for the Vikings. Couldn't they have come up with something more believable? Even the Doctor's comment on this resource shows the complete absurdity of it.
