#2, no 'rang.

#2 if it has to be there, but given how spare TOS was with logo use I would opt for none.
Are you both suggesting using neither the logo nor the ship name/registry, and having nothing at all up there?I agree with Maurice. I think none is the way it would have been done. Mainly because of distraction- the focus in a scene would be at deck level. Big graphics would distract from that focus and necessitate shooting around them.
Oooh good idea. I hadn't even considered dropping the "U.S.S." Let's see how that looks...#2, no boomerang, no U.S.S. Just 'ENTERPRISE' centered and low over the windows. An echo of the same on the refit's fantail.
I'm all for a blank wall. It seems more Jefferies-esque. YMMV.Are you both suggesting using neither the logo nor the ship name/registry, and having nothing at all up there?

I agree. And I think there are clear in-universe reasons why they might want windows all along that fore area instead of just having them concentrated in the center, at least to the point of having one or two more directly above each of doors 1 & 2.It kinda feels like there are too few windows on the observation gallery there.
Here's a comparison with "USS Enterprise" and just "Enterprise", sans boomerang. I think I like the first better. It seems more TOS, in my opinion, even though #2 is more in line with the hull markings of the TMP Enterprise.
