Maybe these will be of use...

As if Shutterstock fucking owns them...

BTW, Donny, I ran into something weird. When I tried searching Shutterstock for "Star Trek the Motion Picture" I got zip, but then somehow it got switched to the Spanish language page and I got a bunch of stuff, including the above images. This was the search link in question.
Geo/linguo-locking images? That's a new one...

Upon getting to work today and viewing those renders I posted last night, I'm seeing that they are WAY too dark. It's a common problem, as my home monitor everything is bright and lower contrast and on other monitors (including my phone) they appear darker and higher contrast. I even adjust the levels in every render I post to compensate for this, however sometimes it's not enough. I really need to figure out how to calibrate my home monitor properly.

Thanks @Maurice for those photos!

Remember when this film first came out, and so many people cried, "But those aren't Klingons!"

Now we can't see them as anything else.

I'm willing to bet there are still a few "holdouts", self proclaimed "keepers of the flame" who'd decry, "No, they're not!"

Funny enough, I prefer this cleanly delineated "lobster tail" crest over the "random forehead tumors" we later got. But I'm biased as I love shellfish. ;)

I don't remember seeing this shot before:

The more I see that screens over the gunners the more I think they feature some "cloud" image that's been processed different ways.
Yeah, I had that same thought. I'm pretty sure those "screens" remained the same as when they were in the Dilithium Reactor Room, but it made more sense for me to go the "crystal" route instead of the "cloud" route for that particular set.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to be representing the I.K.S. Amar (for the few that are unaware, the exact K'tinga class ship we saw in TMP), or just a generic K'tinga of my own naming. If I go with the former, I'll replicate the "cloud" screens. If I go with the latter, I'll do a more generic Klingon display graphic.

I'd go for an original K'tinga, mostly out of how hard it is to me to take seriously a Klingon ship which is literally named 'to love' in Spanish. :p It's like they were Klingon Hippies or something...

On one hand, it's not expressly said those back screens are the cloud, and in the spirit of screen accuracy they should be recreated directly.

On the other, I would so like to see other ships other than the ill-fated Amar of the same class and build. Chalk it up again to preferring rarity, but I wish we got to see more stock K't'ingas over Trek. Especially with this bridge.

Apparently the Klingons and the Federation all shop at Bob's Discount Wall Conduit, Hair Care and Tire Center. And they do that for over a hundred years since that paneling shows up in TNG. Bob was a great salesman. ;)
It also shows up at Starfleet Academy and Regula 1 in TWOK. :)

So, I started something tonight:

I was intrigued by the idea (someone posted on one of my threads, can't remember which one) to do a K'tinga bridge with a TOS aesthetic as a D7 bridge, since I was debating going back to do some TOS stuff for a while.
Quoting from another thread but commenting in this one since it applies to the Klingon bridge. :)

Looking at this low-poly model, it strikes me that a major thing you'd want to do to make the Klingon bridge look more TOS-like is to simplify the shapes of the buttresses on the side. Matt Jefferies typically went for much simpler shapes in his set designs.
