The Queen of Disco, who ruled the charts in the 70s and 80s, has died at age 63, following a long battle with cancer. HERE.

Unlike a lot of singers in her day, and today, for that matter, she wrote a lot of her own songs, and was able to live comfortably off the residuals.

Aw, that's sad. We'll never have that recipe again.

Disco got a pretty bad backlash but dance music never really went away and Summer's talent and innovation had a long influence.

I can also remember when some radio stations wouldn't play "Love to Love You Baby" because of some of the "sounds" she made!

RIP.

Good-bye, Massachusetts girl.

"Someone found a letter you wrote me on the radio
And they told the world just how you felt
It must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat."

A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

RIP, Donna. :(
