I just love the scene where Nancy holds her scarf up like a veil and looks through it. There's an interview with the director somewhere about what a happy accident that was. It's a remarkable serendipity.

Donahue was great in the episode, but I've always thought she was underused. Star Trek was the better for having her.

Confession: this is my favorite episode of st.
Which is why I so hated tng re-imagining of the characters in their movie series.

Metamorphosis plays like a feature film. A wonderful self contained story with first-rate performances and a beautiful score by George Duning. Too bad Glenn Corbett didn't survive to do "First Contact" in 1996. He would have been only 62 or 63, and since the Companion rejuvenated Cochrane, it would have been plausible.

Anyway, Donahue is perfect as Hedford. I'm surprised she hasn't been offered more film/TV roles of that serious nature. I've only seen her in sitcoms and in the film Pretty Woman. I'm sure she got Pretty Woman because of her association with Garry Marshall, who directed that picture and was the EP on The Odd Couple series.
