Don’t distress calls seems a bit risky?

If only there was a sci fi series that was totally based off the actions of someone responding to a distress call when he shouldn't have, then making his own distress call.. nah..

Don't you dare come after the Working Girl.
I love the director. Pairing Han Solo with Ripley was genius, and Joan Cusack as always was fetching. But talk about an unwarranted Best Picture nomination. So, I can only say....consider this my personal call of distress. Had MG possessed the acting chops of her co-stars, she likely would have been offered Capt. Janeway's role by now. Nude vaccuum cleaning didn't quite cut it for me in 1988.

Isn’t this essentially a rape joke?
Hell, no. It's a BY ANY OTHER NAME reference. That one began with a distress call, then a rare case of security guard survival while the yeoman didn't. This isn't GAMESTERS, ENEMY WITHIN or A PRIVATE LITTLE WAR. There's no such thing as reading too much. But some read too much into it.

Possibly. Thanks anyway for the clarification. Me being not sure what you wanted to say was the reason why I asked. And to be honest, I’ve seen you do lewd and/or sexist jokes and comments before, so it’s not like this would somehow be totally out of the ordinary for you.

You could send out an encrypted wide range message that only friendly ships could decode.

Maybe you have to wait 4 days rather than 2, but that’s better than the wrong person turning up.
Maybe, unless Garak is breaking codes for the other side now...

Out of the all moments in the Star Trek universe we have been privileged to witness, how many times have distress calls been traps?
