Domino's Pizza. Is their pizza any good?

Our Dominos is still awful, but on the upside, I buy Kroger brick oven pizzas (four cheese *yum*) and they taste better than any of the delivery places. I can also get 3 for $10, and they're about the size of a large pizza, so it's win/win. Also, it doesn't hurt my stomach, so it's win/win/win!

These days it is either my husband's home made pizza which is really good or a take a bake pizza from Papa Murphy's. Do any of you do the take a bake? I have never really compared a take and bake to a delivered pizza, but I still think I would like the take and bake better. But it has been a long time since any delivered pizza has come my way.
If I have a choice it's take and bake. I love Papa Murphy's pizza, and have since it was a chain called Papa Alto's here in the NW. Crust is fantastic, and I love their pepperoni.

Runner up I'd pick is Papa John's.

Funny, I always like Domino's. Probably put on 15 pounds when I worked there.
I don't know if it's just me getting older, but I don't tolerate it very well anymore. Plus, Dominos, Pizza Hut, there's just so much bread everywhere. I'm a diabetic, and so that limits my options when the family wants to order Dominos or Pizza Hut. I wish we had a La Rosa's around here. Now there's some good pizzeria style food with lots of options like antipasto, lasagna, big BIG salads, yummmm...

I've come to like the Screamin' Sicilian brand of frozen pizza. Especially the "Mother of Meats" pizza. It's a once and while thing now, usually on a Friday, since I know I'm going to regret in the morning.

Used to order fairly regularly but since they publicly (in the UK) celebrated the relegation of my football club I haven't used them again.

I hear you. I used to live thick crust pizzas when I was younger, but not so much anymore. It is too much bread, and on some pizzas, that's all you're mostly eating...

Sometimes Tombstone frozen pizzas hit the spot when nothing else will.
I do like Tombstone though Tony's does well for me in a pinch.

I've heard good things. Is it good or what's the regret?

As long as pizza is edible and I enjoy it I could care less what brand it is. Pizza is to be eaten, not ranked on a peer-reviewed scienfific scale from one slice being MY CHILDHOOD IS RUINED AND IT'S THIS PIZZA'S FAULT to ten slices being I WILL MARRY AND HAVE KIDS WITH THIS PIZZA.

Most are never ten but most will never be one, neither.

I'm usually that way however over the past weekend I had some woodfire Hawaiian that had the most amazing crust. That got a 10.

^ The crust can make or break a pizza for me. I found the frozen Home Run Inn pizza crust to be the most flavorless crust of all time, whereas Rocky Rococo had some of the best crust ever.

Papa John's was my go-to pizza until they went out of business. The closest one is in another city.

In college, cafeteria pizza was very popular (but also rather generic), but it was so greasy that we had to put napkins on top to soak it all up before we ate.

Mmm...pizza...

Domino's makes a great pizza for workplace lunch treats. The crust is as thick as a bicycle tire on the rim, and the sauce and cheese are evenly distributed so that every bite satisfies. The crust is also rather sweet and will spike your blood sugar into sudden need for naps if you eat too much of it, so a "Do not operate heavy machinery after consuming product" advisory ought to be printed on each box.

I'm no pizza snob yet have access to a great variety of pies locally. I won't say no to a box of Chef Boyardee pizza making kit, either. Pizza is just awesome that way.

Indeed. This is why Papa Murphy's gets a big shout out for me is because their crust turns out so good.
I think it is quite good. It's just a matter of moderation. If I eat too many slices, it sits in my stomach.
Fair point. I was just curious because it is a bit pricier for a frozen pizza so if I'm going to try it I was curious as to feedback.

Yep. I had a Kroger brick oven style pizza last night, it was on sale, and so I took a chance on it. The crust looked thinner, but I guess the way it was made it ended up being more dense than traditional pizza crust, and I had some issues with that. I also had issues with the fact that a few small slices took my blood sugar well over 200+ when regular thin crust Kroger pizza never raises it that high from just a few pieces, so I'll be avoiding that "brick oven" style in the future.

Some say there's no such thing as bad pizza, but I disagree.

What I do with Digiornos is spray butter the crust (2 or 3 times during the bake) and sprinkle some garlic powder & oregano on there after the first spray.

A good restaurant crust could involve a little more, but IDK what.
