Anyone ever have one of those days where one thing leads to another like a cascade of dominoes?
I'm sat at home right now when I should in fact be sat in a cocktail bar.
But I rush ahead... let me take you to the beginning of this story
On the dot of 9am I telephone vodafone... accuse them of having blatant disregard for contract law and threatened legal action. They proceeded to close my account on the spot - yay.
But when I say 'on the spot', I mean on the spot.
I then had to suffer an entire day without a mobile phone, which leads to various interesting incidents
I then rush home at tea time to insert another sim card which should have had £10 of credit on.
No credit.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember the words "voucher" and "register" issuing from the Phones 4 U guy's lips.
A sinking feeling tells me that voucher was on a receipt I threw away.
Never fear, I'll buy some credit online.
Credit card declined - WHAT.
Log onto credit card account... "ring us immediately, access to your account has been restricted."
But I can't ring... I have no phone.
Meanwhile, friends of mine are out and waiting for my call.
Consider running to a phone box but I realise it's raining.
What's more, a button has just come off my new trousers in the wash and I'm out of wine.
Exactly 12 hours later I find myself thinking... "If only I hadn't cancelled my mobile phone contract today!"
Maybe it's kalma for telling a poor, frightened, customers services assistant at vodafone I was going to "raise merry hell."
