Some are blaming Eliza's acting for a change in character that was actually the result of bad writing. Nice.
No ... it was bad acting. She couldn't act in BTVS, "Angel", or "Tru Calling"

I'm guessing they're trying to show her various imprints blending together.
Later in the episode the boss mentioned him taking the private jet down to Arizona, and I think he mentioned he wanted to keep an eye on Echo.
In retrospect, that makes sense. Doesn't change that it felt incredibly off, but it's logical.Or it could be deliberate. The cussing is not Dushku's call, it was the script's. I'm guessing they're trying to show her various imprints blending together.
I think a big part of that is because of the release of Watchmen last week - ie, a movie directed at the show's primary target audience.Apparently ratings for this episode were up slightly from last week.

I'll watch this thing til the end just for the dialogue.![]()

Oh, so her acting was the cause of her character's decisions in the plot, and her acting was the cause of her dialog. I see.....
...My scientific analysis is that the mindwiped, innocent guy is still more straight that Helo is.

That may not take too much longer.
Overall I have to give this episode an Average... It was above average until Dushku severely broke character (or the writers did) in the last few minutes. That takes it down a notch.
...Helo is blind enough not to notice that his hot neighbour broke in to his apartment for him, came all the way to his office with his pain medication, cooked him a very large dinner and all the while she's wearing a top that left very little to the imagination.
He wrote next week's episode but he's not directing it.I gave this an above average and I'm hoping it really breaks out of its shell next week and comes into its own! Is Joss directing next weeks episode?
