Does the IMDb censor reviews?

There used to be a review of Star Trek which said the movie was bad at the IMDb.

The reviewer had seen it at the gala premiere in New Zealand, and he stated that there were many disappointed faces after the movie finished.

Now, the review is no longer there.

Did Abrams´ henchmen have anything to do with it?

Or does the IMDb crew take down angry, over-critical reviews by disillusionised trekkies?

I wouldn't take too much stock in anything that comes from IMDB. You don't even have to see the movie to vote on it.

Yeah, but it is not there either. However, there is a new bad review there written by an Irish guy. Let´s see how long it lasts

Seriously, it may be due to the fact that the users didn´t think it was helpful. Maybe they take down reviews because of that.

Ok I just read the reviews and they are mostly positive ...no matter what.... it looks like for a true TOS fan there are going to be things that rub you the wrong way w/ this movie, it looks like that is inescapable.
On a positive note the reviewers advised there is a lot to also like about the movie. I hope they're correct in their assessments!

I'm a true TOS fan, but I can separate that from any enjoyment of the movie. Just because you like one thing doesn't mean you can't like an alternate take too.
