Does Seven still need to regenerate?

Hi all,
So the subject really poses the question. Does Seven of Nine still need to regenerate in a Borg alcove or does she actually sleep in quarters now? I don't recall seeing anything in Picard suggesting one way or the other.

It is entirely possible that the writers quite simply forgot, or did not even realise, that Seven needs to regenerate.

Michael Chabon confirmed in one of his many instagram posts in s1 that Seven does regenerate. Since Seven created a portable regeneration unit for Caleb when they thought he would stay with his parents, I assume with leaps of technology, Seven made her regen unit even more portable.

I assume she still needs to, considering she still has Borg tech.
In the novels, at one point all of the Borg tech in Seven's body was gone. Long story. It ment she was now fully human again. Meaning her body required sleep instead of regenerating. The fact that she still HAS Borg tech kinda implies that it needs recharging, aka regeneration.

Now, does this mean she needs an alcove? @grimorie mentioned a insta post from Chabon that seems to indicate that she does. And sure, it's been about over 20 years and she is a very smart individual. I wouldn't be surprised if Seven created a way to regenerate without a cumbersome alcove unit.

She still has the fancy things on her face, what do those actually do apart from look cool?

I assume they can’t remove the occipital implant without killing her because the implwnt is fused to her cranium. In the episode where the crew died in season 5, Chakotay and Harry returned to the past to save their friends, they showed the EMH Doctor hold half of Seven’s skull and you can see the one on her eyebrow was fused to her skull, her cranium was replaced by metal.

Actually I think I have a screencap.

Seven admitted that when her occiptal implant was put in, it was the most painful thing she’s ever felt in her life. But also seeing all this machinery, I can see why she would always need to regenerate. All that internal machinery would need more than food and sleep to recharge.

That's a pretty detailed screengrab.

I thought the bit that we can see had some kind of function she could access....

I don’t know if it has any function, but we see in Voyager, apparently Seven sees the world in a green filter, we do see that with her left eye, she can magnify/enhance and read something that can almost be microscopic (The Gift).
