Does Odo have jizz?

I was just thinking about this tonight.... granted I drank a couple glasses of Virgin Airlines wine that another BBSer got at Ralphs, but it came up in discussion originally about whether or not Odo pees, and where it goes and where it comes from, but then we remembered he doesn't eat. Or rather, he fakes it (I'm sure thats the only time he does that (Pay no attention, Kira).

So seriously, does he have jizz? Or is he just fakin' it with Major Kira, or did he ever really leave her?

I would also really like to hear PKTrekGirl's thoughtful analysis of this subject as well, because as we all now, DS9 is now 99.93% borg free!

I'll try to answer this seriously (why I don't know). The simple fact is that we don't know how Changelings reproduce, but it ain't through sex. So there's no biological need for it.

As usual, the Relaunch offers us a more definitive answer.

The Changelings have never had any means of reproducing.

If Odo wanted jizz, he would have to shapeshift it. And I'll leave everybody with the charming image of Odo having to ooze himself back out of Kira after they finished their lovemaking.

I've always figured that Changelings reproduce like amoebas, asexually by "budding." Since they can die, they must have a means of reproduction or they'd be extinct, and also of eating (maybe absorbing nutrients from the atmosphere?) They can't defy the Second Law of Thermodynamics!

Yeah, the shape-shifters were badly thought out, IMO...he never eats, or never seems to absorb any food or energy. They can shift mass. They can turn into *fire*. And they can change into an object so completely that they can fool a Federation tricorder/sensor.

I am thinking that since the Changlings could make Odo into a biological person, that they possess that ability to mimic a biological being completely, even to the point of becoming one, just that Odo never was trained/learned this level of mimicry...well, transformation, really.

So maybe he could have jizz...if he wanted too.

At least Odo has DNA, as established in "A Man Alone" already. So he apparently descends from folks that do mitosis and meiosis, and reproduce sexually. Doesn't sound likely that his folks would have exact analogies to sperm and ova, but they might still exchange cells, or otherwise the DNA would make little sense.

Strike that. Odo having any identifiable biological features or functions makes little sense anyway. As said, he's a baby god, explicitly capable of circumventing most known laws of nature. What does God need with jizz?

Well, strike that, too. What is the point of being God if you can't have wild and sticky parties?
