Does anyone own a full sized Dalek prop?

Those prices are crazy! That and, though I didn't look too far, I doubt very much they ship internationally and even if they did, the cost alone would be similarly insane.

I do have some semi-serious plans to build a Tardis though. It should make a nice tool shed for the garden.

I would actually consider putting a couple of those angels on my property. I could never afford it. The cost to ship to the US alone makes it impossible.

I'm currently building a Dalek with a lot of help from a few friends who already have Daleks built up. This is their efforts!

I almost spent my bonus on one at a convention auction. It would have fitted perfectly into this alcove in my flat. Then I saw sense and didn't.
When I mentioned this moment of madness to my girlfriend, she said 'Oh, you should have got it, that would have been so cool...'
Can't win!

PS: Cathy Ashton, the European High Representative (the European Union foreign minister/secretary of state, roughly) does have a full sized Dalek. There's mixed reports as to whether it's in her home or her office...

The 10th Anniversary Dr Who Special, which I have in a reprint, has plans of how to make one. Doesn't look terribly expensive, just time consuming. Let me know if you want the plans.

I'd always wanted a new series Dalek but instead of the gold/bronze "bling", I'd rather have a silver/grey variant.

I'd love a Dalek. It's second on my list after a Sixth Doctor coat. Not sure which colour or version I'd want. I think my preference would be for an RTD-era one, but possibly not in bronze or black. I think my one problem with the black RTD one is that it's completely black, rather than with silver bumps and things. The design's perfect, I just wish they'd done more colours. Maybe I'd get a black Remembrance type. It's £300 less. But then, if I were that wealthy, maybe £300 wouldn't matter...

I almost wish I'd never seen the site now.

Justy imagine the nightmare scenario though...

You order one and then a big box arrives with a note attatched!

"Congratulations. We've recently upgraded our Dalek design in keeping with the show's new design and for our loyal customers we've upgraded at no extra cost...we hope you enjoy your bright yellow Dalek."

Top of my wish-list though I'd rather build one than buy one. Sadly, I don't have a suitable space where it could live...

That would always be the problem though, where to put it!

For me a TARDIS shed is more likely...

If you bought a Tardis first, you could fit in as many Daleks as you like.

...well, for that money, you'd hope the bloody thing was real.

There was a great classic Dalek at a sci-fi con here in Calgary a few years back.

I asked to take a nude picture with it.

It told me I was rude.

Harrumph.

It probably had a bad experience with Katy Manning or something...
