I don't think it's anything personal, yahoorya. Several posters here have a tendency to post multiple single-line threads (spamming) to boost their rank a few levels. Your post just had a bit of that flavor to it is all. Hoping it's not one of those.

In any case, to answer your question, yes I like Trek, somewhat dislike Star Wars and love both versions of Battlestar Galactica with unbridled passion, as many other members here would attest to.

Favorite Trek Captain?
Kirk, of course.

Favorite overall ship commander?
Adama, both versions, for different reasons.

Just don't ask me about Harlan Ellison, and we'll be ok. I've earned the ire of some Ellison KoolAid drinkers around here for my thoughts on the subject.

I love Star Trek. The space battles, the technology, the theme of exploration.

I don't care for some elements such as the carping about diversity, the anti religious bias or the political correctness.

But when the phasers are firing my heart leaps with joy.
