Does anyone know what this music is?

I was watching this old Star Trek promo on Youtube and saw a Star trek commercial at 1:07. I know that it's a long shot, but does anyone know where the music is from? It may have only been used by NBC for the commercial but it sounds really familiar. I wasn't alive during Star Trek's original broadcast so I didn't hear it there.
The music is a little cheesy but I like it.

yeah I have no idea about the music, sounds similar to certain bits used throughout the series so I wouldn't be surprised if it's composed by the same people.
That's an awesome clip though- "Half Earthling, half Vulcanian!!!" classic

It sounded like a piece of early electronic music. It was probably a stock composition from the network's music library. There was a time when networks and studios would hire composers to write a whole bunch of generic music cues that could be used as needed by various shows, promos, etc. Or it could've been stock music from some SF movie; film music was another common source of stock cues. (And that practice continues even into the present. For a long time, maybe even still, NBC Sports used the main title theme from Fox's The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. as their theme music.)
