Does anyone else think Khan lived?

I think someone had mentioned somewhere that it's possible the Narada came across the sleeper ship... and blasted it out of space. But it's possible it's still out there, ready for Star Trek #: Khan Returns!

I remember thinking, as a seven year old kid walking out of the the theater after seeing TWOK that Kahn's head was going to land in the parking lot...but he was definately dead!

Seems like an ideal thread to pitch some khanspiracy theories ;)

Ever noticed the drastic change in appearance of Khan between Space Seed and TWOK, despite only 15 years or so passing in that time frame? What if the Khan in TWOK isn't actually the original Khan? Despite being played by the same actor, lets assume for a moment that the Khan we see in TWOK is actually a different person, pretending to be the great augment leader and that his visible ageing in-universe, has nothing to do with being on a hostile and sandstorm ridden planet with minimal resources for nearly 20 years...

As I stated earlier, hypothetically speaking, with both the Enterprise and Reliant shields down and within a resonable proximity, a rougue Starfleet officer or cadet could have beamed the genetically enhanced madman and stowed him away until they reached Spacedock. Khan could have then gone into real estate and purchased a tropical island.

The person that was mortally wounded who looked like and acted like Khan, was not actually Khan and the real Khan had beamed over to the Regula 1 station just before they entered the Mutara Nebula.

Khan actually survived the Genesis wave implosion and his injuries were healed by the 'Genesis Effect'. He then started to build a new life on Genesis, whilst being troubled by the screams of a rapidly ageing Spock. Unfortunately for Khan, Kruge's boarding party discovered him and destroyed his settlement. He was then taken prisoner aboard the BOP and when Chekov (who didn't seem to notice Khan was already there) took Maltz to the brig, Khan quickly subdued Maltz and hid under the unconcious Klingon for the remainder of the journey to Vulcan. Khan snuck out just after Kirk and Co were bringing Spock to T'Lar and started a business in the leather trade.

Anyone got any more?

So, I'm confused. Are you asking if Khan from the movie who supposedly died in the Genesis wave somehow survived? Or are you asking if a fictional character somehow has transcended imagination to become a living, breathing entity that is currently somehow speaking to you telepathically?

Both.

Dead? He most certainly is.

As for still guiding us today, I do believe that he is. Towards a destiny that involves soft Corinthian leather.

I believe he's still with us. Why just the other day he encouraged me to live out my fantasy of owning a Chrysler Cordoba.

He came into work yesterday to buy a USB stick. He mentioned Elvis was still going strong and thinking of a comeback.

I laugh at the OP's not so superior intellect. Khan is dead. The actor is dead. Long live Khan!

But to add a point: there were an unknown number of Khan henchmen aboard the Reliant. Shields were down. Tne Enterprise was manned by cadets and presumably understaffed. You don't need a 'rogue' to beam them over at the last second... you just need one of the henchmen to be on standby in the transporter room.

Actually, and this is -almost- canon, it could be the little baby who beamed them over. A super intellectual baby would easily figure this deus ex machina out. Think Stewie Griffin.

Oh Khan is dead but I still wanna know *when* he died.

When he spit his last breath, did he croak seeing the Enterprise limping away, getting final satisfaction that Kirk couldn't get away and would be killed in the Genesis blast? Khan prevails.

Or did he live long enough to see the Enterprise warp away and then die having been defeated at last by Kirk?

It makes a difference.

Theoretically speaking, since both the Enterprise and Reliant sheilds were down...Khan may have been able to transport across to the Enterprise undetected. From there he could have stowed away like Ben Finney and tended to his wounds , whilst the Enterprise was busy with Spock's funeral and repairing their battle damage. Khan could then have shaved his head, put on a cadet uniform and snuck out with the reassigned cadets onto another ship, he could then have made his way to their next destination, perhaps a planet or starbase and started a new life for himself.

Dude, I totally followed that in my head, with pictures and everything. I buy it! Especially seeing Khan as the ship's oldest cadet (with amazing pecs).

It makes a difference.

Not to Kirk. Either way he said "well, that takes care of that asshole."

I saw TWOK when I was 11 and shortly after I had a dream loosely based of an episode of The Space Giants. I dreamed that an alien race found Khan's remains and reanimated him. All that was left of Khan was part of his skeleton. He was just a skull, spine, rib cage and an arm with the hand that was attached to the bottom of the spine. He was alive and talking and vowing revenge.......
