Yup. Hardly a new facet of the SW lore.Plenty of ways an old sith master has come back in the books, games, comics etc. Old sith magic, artifacts etc. fused to a holocron, possesing clones, even just coming back as a force ghost to train
I got the joke, just saying bringing back Sheev is going to take some serious retconning.
Because its mythology, where good spirits exist. Evil ones can exist too with minimal retconning.I have read Dark Empire. And the amount of time spent retconning within the comics was minimal at best.
Though decades later when creating Clone Wars, George decided that Dark Side users couldn't have force ghosts, which is why we never got that scene with Revan and Darth Bane in the Mortis Arc.
the Sith Haunting objects is a thing yes, and has happened already in the canon a couple times.I think Sith can possess items, or haunt the areas of their demise, like the Dagobah cave, I think where the DS2 was destroyed had some kind of darkside presence too, but my memory is faulty on that. I haven't read any EU since the early 2000's.
Put something in the movie that the fans would actually enjoy? A break from the previous few movies, but let's give it a shot.fanservice
It could be very interesting.Could that possibly be because the Dark Side users hadn’t found a way yet? A big part of Palpatine’s character is his search for immortality. What that means I believe will play a big part in TRoS. It brings things full circle.
No more than the EU did back in the early 90s.
The fact that Sheev is coming back is deeply troubling. There's no way to not make it stupid unless he's limited to a dream/vision or flashback.
In your opinion.
My opinions are 97% fact, 3% sarcasm.
Nope.
It's just a flesh wound! No, but screaming down a reactor shaft and exploding seems to be pretty definite.
