Batman Unmasked - The Psychology of the Dark Knight
2. if not video documentaries than maybe some good articles (in an academic level)?

Melakon, its a very general list :)
Flying Spaghetti Monster, thanks
i think that its close... any more? about other space films? (btw, i'm more into the ideas & about analysing the films than a "making if" about the films).

Isn't there a BBC series called "History of Science Fiction"? Pretty sure that'll cover it.

That's what I was going to suggest. Part I ran last week, Part II runs tonight on BBC America.

The first one was pretty cool. About Robots and AI in science fiction films.

yes i heared about it :)
but it deals in general things not just at space scifi films no?
if you know about other films...

Jodorowsky's Dune documentary looks very cool. It appears he influenced many sci-fi films in the 70's and 80's without even making a film.

there's probably something on making of 2001 if you rummage around. i also agree about the bbc sf series, i found it under the title sf-uk.
