Oooh, I popped this in over the Weekend (Just finished Colin Baker, now going through Sylvester McCoy years). Totally never noticed how obviously the Doctor is Sylvester McCoy (With an ill fitting wig) in the Regeneration scene, LOL.

I actually enjoyed this story this time, more than I remembered. I'm up to Delta and the Bannermen next up.

That's because it wasn't Syl .... No, that was Time and the Rani, not Mark of the Rani. ;)

She was also in Rani Reaps the Whirlwind. Not saying she's got an ego about her, but ...

It dates back to 1985. What channel was that showing on?

it turned out to be a matt smith episode. but the actor part said collin baker what's up with that.
its been known to happen before. i know the Dish Network guide said 'The Ambassadors of Death' would be playing early morning. so i turned it over and it was 'The Age of Steel'.

Cracking story in this one, and its awash with great actors to boot....and i just order Time and the Rani the other day funnily enough.

Some of the on demand descriptions actually say Matt Smith and Billie Piper, still.

"Mark" is a decent story IMO, one of the better Sixth Doctor ones. It's helped a great deal by the location work and costumes. Time and The Rani, however, was shot in a quarry and had awful costumes (Although some of the visual FX such as the bubble traps were neat).

BTW I wonder why they decided to bring the Master back so soon after Planet of Fire, which was suppossed to be the end of the villain for a while. I've read that his Planet of Fire death was going to be explained away, and this dialogue is still in the novel. I suppose it might've been because "Twin Dillema" was poorly received and they wanted to bring back practically all the old monsters and villains to help ease Colin into the role. Then again Tom's first season was heavy on returning villains too.
