Doctor Who - The Glimpse (or: Time Crash, in the '60's)

Big Finish used some of Devious' dialogue for Zagreus too I believe.

That was a damn good Second Doctor. Though I think the Hines one could have done a bit more work. I really wish Big Finish paid attention and got someone like him for a full cast audio. Same with that guy who did the voice over for One in Day of the Doctor.

I think at least for Light at the End, they should've recasted. William Russell doing First's voice in the Companion Chronicles is one thing... but in a full-cast audio, it stuck out like a shore thumb.

John Guilor. He also doubled Hartnell in the DVD reconstruction of the original episodes 3 & 4 of "Planet of Giants" (which were cut down to one episode for pacing). And yes, I think he does a fantastic Hartnell.

Here's a new one - with the Second Doctor meeting the Eleventh during his early days in Trenzalore:

This one is really quite good -- "The Day of Doctor Who" with Troughton, Hartnell, and Cushing. :)

That was great.

And Carole Ann Ford's voice was performed by Billie Piper? Really? I wonder if it was just a clip or if she really performed a single line for this?

That Troughton impression was so spot on it was eerie! The Hartnell sound-alike might have used a few too many "Hmms" but the voice itself was also rather convincing.

IMO, it was all the "Hmms" that really sold it. In particular, there's one part where he's basically trying to show that his memory is better than the 2nd Doctor's but he totally fluffs the rather technobabble-y line. :p He certainly got the characterization down better than Richard Hurndall.

I think they just used Billie Piper's line "The Moment is coming" from "The Day of the Doctor" and picked a clip of Carole Ann Ford that synced up with it.

Thread regeneration!

Christopher Thomsom has released a few more Who related videos...

Reading "Letter to Victoria" (from Doctor Who: The Time Lord Letters by Justin Richards) as Troughton...

For those interested, Thomson has provided a link to a PDF of the script for "The Twelfth Day".

As to the cast, Thomson provides voices for Two, Eleven and Twelve, as he has done in the past. This time he also briefly voices Three, Six and Seven as well as the villain, whom I won't name for spoilers sake.

Siobahn Gallichan reprises One and also does a passable Four.

Newcomers Peter Walsh as Nine and Elliot Crossley as Ten.

No Five, despite mention of "The Cricketer", or Eight.

According to the comments, "The other one we don't talk about" is a cheeky reference to Peter Cushing.

I noticed the Cushing reference, though it took a half day to get it as I wasn't paying that much attention and had forgotten that the Cushing Dr. Who has a mustache.

I'd sort of like to see one of these that has someone who can do Cushing's voice as the other, other Doctor. I know someone did a Second Doctor era cut of Day of the Doctor were it was just One, Two, and the Cushing Doctor. Though I seem to recall that it was mostly sound bytes from the three of them rather than impersonations.

I'm sure there are some reasonable Cushing impersonators that aren't working for Lucasfilm. Though I suppose they'll need to get the character correct. Or use the voice and any mannerisms Cushing had for those two films, but write the script as the Doctor. Any Doctor will do.
