Doctor Who: The Figure Thread

I'm sitting right on the edge... almost ordering the two-pack with Leela and a Sontaran but the reality is... they're toys.

They are collectables. Toys are for playing with. At that price you don't play with them!

Hehe. They're not. They're toys. If they were collectibles they wouldn't have all those nasty articulation points on them that ruin the aesthetic. And if they were collectibles, they'd cost a lot more money. CO is a toy company, not a high end collectible maker.

By that logic, Lego definitely aren't toys because those things cost a small fortune now. :)

I feel like I should get something plush for the car, odd there is no adipose.

They did make plush Adipose, a while back.
Amazon.com page for Plush Adipose

see now I need to work out, a really good practical reason for having one.

This isnt offical in anyway, but I just got a TARDIS keyring for my house keys, or as I call them now "The TARDIS keys"

link

oh sorry, they have all been sold

They made Adipose plushes. Here were some pictures from two years ago

That isn't a plush toy. It's a stress toy. There's a difference. And yes, I have the stress version.

My stress adipose - named Abi-pose - got scarred by my short but sharp fingernails the day I got her.

I've been caused stress by my stress toy!

This year's Comic-Con Exclusive has been announced. It's a Victory of the Daleks 2-pack, featuring Winston Churchill and the Ironside Dalek with tea tray arm. No image yet, but when there is one it will be here.

"You will care! You will caare about this exclusive or you will be exterrrrminated!!"

Ahem. Anyway, this holds no interest for me -- already have a tray-less Ironside, black-out version -- but at the very least it will be interesting to see how accurate their rendition of Churchill is.

On another note, why is their 2012 exclusive from an episode that aired two years ago? Couldn't they have chosen a 2-pack from something more recent, like Madam Vastra & Jenny or a regeneration set of Mels & River, or Amy & Old Amy, or the Doctor (with shop nametag) & Craig (with Alfie in the papoose)? River in the spacesuit maybe? I'm sure there are lots of ideas better than scraping the bottom of the barrel for Series 5 stuff. Sheesh!

Oh, shiny! Love Churchill (well, Ian M is awesome), and can probably find room for yet another Dalek somewhere.

I dunno, I kind of like the idea of having a Winston Churchill action figure (but they've missed a trick by not doing a box set that also included Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria, William Shakespeare, Agatha Christie and Vincent Van Gogh)...!

Don't forget Nixon!

>Smacks self in head< RIGHT! I knew I was forgetting someone (and then, of course, technically there's also Albert Einstein)...!

I've already got two Ironside Daleks but I'm picking this one up. I've been disappointed with the tweaks, re-releases and lousy QC and haven't picked up anything for quite some time but for some reason, I'm excited about this.

If that hand pivots like those of most figures in the range, you can have Churchill perform a "rude gesture".

Sincerely,

Bill

Q.L.A. Anti-Time Device
After the Doctor disappeared, the Cybermen and Daleks went to war across the universe. And on each world they destroyed they left in their wake, Stone Angels, picking over the dead and dying. But the Cleric army fought back and scoured the dead worlds left after the wars, looking for the wreckage of Daleks, Cybermen, and broken Angels to create a hugely powerful 'anti-time' device. A device part Dalek, part Cyber technology and used the Quantum signature from the Angel to trigger a Gateway to pull enemies into the time Vortex.... Erasing them from Time completely. This Dalek & Cyberman Hybrid Technology Unit includes four play modes: Dalek, Cyberman, Angel & multi technology. Includes speech, sounds and light FX. Send your enemies into the Time Vortex!
