Just so y'all know, I've got a Captain Jack avatar entered for the random theme in the DS9 forum's contest...the random theme was "ambiguous."

When do we start voting? Or are these every two weeks instead of weekly?

Well I launched the contest last Tuesday, so I thought we'd start voting a week after that.

Ah, that explains it. I thought I was just imagining that recently these things seemed to be taking almost twice as long as they have in the past. Wasn't it if it opened at the beginning of the week, voting started in most cases on the Friday or Saturday, giving folks a few days to vote? Then the winner would be announced on, say, Monday, and the new contest would start on Tuesday.

Or something like that.

Yeah, it does vary but I think it used to be 3 or 4 days of entrants followed by a couple of days of voting so we got a contest in a week.
