Amazing one dude made this. This would be so sucessful if this were to be an actual series. :bolian:

We could make NEW classic Dr. Who with the surviving actors, and we can finally make the lost episodes return by animating them, since the original audiotracks are still around....and make real amazing visuals since you're only limited to one's imagination when it comes to animation. Love seeing the 3rd Doctor kick ass....and beating the living piss out of Japanese chavs no less.

And THAT'S how the Cybermen in new Who outta look, not Ironman rip-offs. :bolian:

Would work great if Studio I.G. (Ghost int he Shell) did the animation. How well did Doctor Who, (the new series) do in japan?

Animation, possibly. Anime, no. I've never cared for the anime style - everyone looks the same and it all looks kiddified. Yes there are exceptions, but not enough for me to want to see DW rendered in that style (the Daleks look good, though).

An animated Who series has been discussed before. Nelvana, the company that did The Raccoons (yeah, I know) was at one point going to do one in the early 90s and I think the Death Comes to Time webcast was based on the concept.

And we have had animated Who episodes - namely the two recreated episodes of The Invasion, and of course the new series stories Infinite Quest and Dreamland. I'd rather see more lost episodes recreated first before new animations were made.

I wouldn't be a big fan of adventures featuring past Doctors being created though. I'm sorry, the Dead Ringers guys do their best but I just can't see anyone but Jon Pertwee doing Jon Pertwee.
